Jarrod M. Scharber
Jarrod M. Scharber was born and raised in San Antonio, Florida and is a 4th generation resident of Pasco County. Jarrod graduated from Pasco High School in 1999 and from the University of Florida in in 2003. After completing his law degree at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Jarrod was admitted to the Florida Bar and came home to practice law in Dade City in 2006.
Moving straight into private practice with the Law Firm of Charles D. Waller, P.A. directly following law school gave Jarrod the opportunity to gain immediate courtroom and client service experience. The advantages of working with Charles Waller and one of the oldest law firms in Pasco County include the chance to represent a wide range of clients with a very diverse collection of legal issues. After 5 years, Mr. Scharber became a partner in the firm, and continued to practice law at Waller & Scharber, P.A. until opening his own firm in January 2020.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Scharber serves his community. Mr. Scharber has served on the Board of Directors of Sunrise of Pasco, Inc. for over 9 years; serving 5 terms as Chairman. Mr. Scharber also serves on the Board of Directors of the Academy at the Farm Charter School, located here in Dade City. These opportunities have allowed Mr. Scharber to give back to the community and promote causes that are meaningful and important to him and his family.
Mr. Scharber provides a broad range of legal services including representing clients who have been in an auto accident or sustained an injury, marital and family law, criminal defense, civil and business litigation, wills, trusts and probate. Mr. Scharber has extensive experience in real estate transactions and litigation; and has been a Title Agent through the Attorneys Title Insurance Fund and Old Republic Title Insurance Company for over 13 years.
Mr. Scharber prides himself on taking the time to get to know his clients in order to truly understand their individual legal needs. He has widespread trial experience in divorce, child custody, relocation and child support cases; and has appeared before the Second District Court of Appeals on multiple occasions. Working closely with his clients and his staff, Mr. Scharber has been able to deliver favorable outcomes and resolutions for his clients on a consistent basis; both through negotiated settlements and trial practice. Mr. Scharber has the tools, knowledge, experience and support to aggressively and professionally service your legal needs; and places an emphasis on personal service.
Melissa Scharber | Practice Administrator
Melissa Scharber is a native of Sarasota, Florida, and graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2003 with a degree in Healthcare Administration. After receiving her MBA, Melissa worked as a practice administrator and office manager for one of Florida’s largest healthcare organizations. Melissa successfully managed large and mid-sized healthcare organizations and gained valuable experience that transitioned very well into running a law office.
Melissa joined Jarrod Scharber and the team at Waller & Scharber, P.A., in 2012 and quickly took on lead roles in practice management, family law case management and litigation, and personal injury and auto accident cases. Her healthcare background has proven to be a tremendous asset in working with clients, insurance companies and healthcare providers to ensure that our clients receive the treatment they need and get the settlement that they deserve. She has extensive experience in real estate matters and has closed hundreds of transactions for Buyers, Sellers, Realtors and Banks. Her experience and leadership at Scharber Law Group are vital in providing our clients with the level of service that they deserve.
Amber Wilfong | Paralegal
Amber has been a resident of Pasco County since she was a young child. She attended Zephyrhills High School, and went on to St. Petersburg College where she obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Public Safety Administration.
Her concentration in school on Criminal Justice studies has proven to be an asset throughout her professional life. Prior to joining Scharber Law Group, P.A. Amber worked for local law enforcement agencies where she acquired extensive knowledge in criminal research and analysis. Her research and analytical abilities, combined with her organizational skills are an asset to our clients, and help SLG provide the level of service that our clients deserve.
Mariana Guadarrama | Paralegal
Mariana is a Pasco County native and lives in Dade City with her husband and 3 children. She brings valuable experience and skills to SLG”s litigation team, where she is responsible for assisting Mr. Scharber in family law, criminal and civil litigation files. Her bi-lingual capabilities allows SLG to provide superior services to our Spanish speaking clients, and her organizational skills and attention to detail ensure that we are always prepared for our clients’ day in Court.
Jennifer Sakellaris | Paralegal
Jennifer was born and raised in San Antonio, Florida. She has an Associates Degree in Nursing and over 10 years of experience in medical and legal work. Her combined experience in these two professions makes her uniquely qualified to serve SLG’s personal injury clients in navigating complex issues related to treatment for injuries, insurance claims, and settlement details. Jennifer knows how difficult things can be after an auto accident and injury, and she assists our clients daily in dealing with the challenges that come with an injury claim.
Jennifer has additional experience in Family, Criminal, and Civil practice, along with Real Estate and Estate Planning. Her attention to detail is recognized and appreciated by SLG’s clients, and she has grown to be an important part of our team.
